The China Textile Economic Information Website (CTEI), sponsored by China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC, former Ministry of Textile Industry) and China Textile Information Center, was launched in 1997 as the online news service of CNTAC and the portal and information resource to the Chinese textile & apparel industry.
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) granted CTEI the title of "the Key-player of Information Platform for National Textile and Apparel Industry" in 2006. Since then, CTEI has established cooperation with more than 30 textile websites around China.
